14/5/26: King’s and Cranfield to merge into a 47,000-student university

A merger that would create the second largest university in the country

King’s College London and Cranfield University have agreed the first step towards merging from August 2027, subject to regulatory approval, creating an institution of around 47,000 students. Mergers change course portfolios, campuses and which degree certificate a student ends up with — students at both should ask what happens to their programme and their award.

Twenty years of the student experience, measured

What everyone thinks of A-levels and the alternatives

Ofqual’s latest perceptions survey covers heads, teachers, parents, students, employers and universities in England.
