£1m for poverty, housing and mental health research in one region

The University of York has launched a £1 million fund for research projects addressing poverty, housing and mental health across York and North Yorkshire. Funds of this kind usually carry studentships and paid research assistant posts, which are among the better-paid jobs available to students and rarely advertised outside departmental mailing lists. Worth asking your department what it has applied for.
