When the first place you take a worry is a chatbot
HEPI examines what it means that students increasingly turn to AI for wellbeing support — available at 3am, never busy, never a six-week wait — and argues universities should treat that as a verdict on their own services rather than a technology problem. If you are using one, it is worth knowing it cannot escalate a crisis and will not notice a pattern. Student mental health covers what your university should provide.
More choice is only useful if you can navigate it
An argument that the expansion of study options worldwide has outpaced the advice available to students choosing between them, so the students best served are the ones with someone to ask. It applies domestically too: the difference between a good and a poor course choice is usually information nobody was given rather than a decision badly made.
